I met Brook and Blaine for a summer anniversary photoshoot in Florence, Italy near San Miniato al Monte on a very hot day in July. Even though they were probably ready to jump in an ice cold swimming pool, as I know I was, they both looked stunning.
We met in front of the church of San Miniato al Monte, one of my favorite photography spots. The light here always seems to be soft, romantic and just right for taking the perfect holiday photo. We began with some classic shots of the couple with the city far below in the background. Then, we slowly made our way down, taking photos at every spot that inspired us.
Even though we did the shoot in July, when the city is usually crawling with tourists, we had the location almost all to ourselves. Perhaps it was the blazing hot weather or the steep steps that one has to climb to reach the top but it was just perfect for a secluded summer anniversary photoshoot.
In the end, we were all ready for a cool aperitivo far away from the blazing summer sun. I hope Brook and Blaine enjoyed their summer anniversary photoshoot as much as I did.
